Received an email asking if our product M2 uses 3 axis electronic compass which records heading tilt and tip.

Our M2 currently uses a 2 axis electronic compass which it uses x,y coordinates to calculate the headings. It can only record heading information. Technically, it is not that difficult to uses a 3 axis electronic compass. We need to make some changes in the electronic circuit and modify the control software.

However, as far as we know, the Nikon DSLR does not record the tilt and tip information to be embedded into the picture EXIF file. So, we will not work on the 3 axis electronic compass as of now.
